The Reiki Shoppe is a unique business that specializes in a personalized service you cannot find anywhere else around. The minute you step into the shoppe, you will know what that means.. a sense of peace and calming and the immediate connection you will feel with the owner of the Shoppe. The Reiki Shoppe is owned and operated by Lauren Deknis Bortolami, a native of Bridgewater, MA and a Catholic. Ms. Bortolami works with one client at a time for personalized one-on-one service and holds small Reiki classes with the maximum of 4 guests in her quaint and quiet shoppe at the Bridgewater Common. Ms. Bortolami works part-time in the Cambridge, MA area as a meeting planner, is a full-time single mom, and runs her shoppe part-time to help the general public as well as safety and military personnel with Reiki, a Japanese hands-on healing relaxation therapy which is used world-wide in hospitals. Ms. Bortolami opened her shoppe in 2006, to help those going through bereavement, divorce, illness, injury, stress, and trauma. See her story why she started The Reiki Shoppe.

Ms. Bortolami is a certified Reiki Master/Teacher, Herbalist, a Spiritual Worker, and an Ear Coning Practitioner. Other practitioners who specialize in Naturopathic Medicine, Spiritual Work are available by appointment at The Reiki Shoppe. Ms. Bortolami offers Traveling and Private In-House sessions and other events such as the Traveling Wellness Space, Reiki Classes, Ear Coning/Candling, as well as Raindrop Therapy. Ms. Bortolami's "Healing for Hope" Group is a team of Reiki Practitioners (including an RN) who volunteer their time for individuals who have cancer as well as firefighters, police, and military personnel injured in the line of duty. After two firefighters were injured in the line of duty in 2001, saving Ms. Bortolami's home, she wanted to offer Reiki to those who serve and protect the community as well as the country. She has worked with several policemen/women, and firefighters in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Ms. Bortlami's companion is a Captain, Firefighter, and EMT from a Rhode Island Department. And Lauren plans to become a volunteer firefighter and EMT in 2010.

Clients have come from New Hampshire, Rhode Island, the Lower Cape to visit Lauren in her shoppe for a session. Each session is designed for the person's specific needs and Lauren uses her intuition to guide her through each session. No two sessions are alike as no two people are alike.
