The Reiki Shoppe is a holistic business that focuses on the whole self - mind, body, and spirit.  Reiki is a non-denominational form of spiritual energy healing that is now being used in hospitals as a therapeutic modality pre and post surgery and chemotherapy.   Reiki gets to the cellular level for healing, detoxifies the body, slows down bleeding,  promotes sleep, relieves pain, stress, and trauma. Lauren uses Reiki to rebalance her clients energy fields to release blockages which if not treated can bring on emotional and physical illnesses.  After a Reiki session, recipients often say they feel an overall sense of peace, joy, their pain has been relieved, and they have a renewed connection to themselves, their passed loved ones, and to God.   After one treatment a client can feel the difference and Lauren loves it when she turns a skeptic into a believer, however there is no belief system to benefit from Reiki, as you feel the energy working immediately.

Lauren Deknis Bortolami a native of Bridgewater, MA is the founder of The Reiki Shoppe and has over 16 years of Reiki experience. Ms. Bortolami is a Reiki Master/Teacher, Herbalist, and Spiritual Healer.  A medium since the age of five, Lauren has had a connection to spirit her whole life. Ms. Bortolami is Catholic and does not practice any type of witchcraft. She is a natural healer who is able to detect imbalances in the body through scanning and can read the energies of her clients during a session.  She has detected heart, stomach, and other health issues.  Lauren's journey into the natural healing world began in the early 1990's due to internal hemorraghing which made her violently ill. Lauren took the first level of Reiki in 1993 and also studied Herbal Medicine.  Due to health issues combined with stressful and traumatic experiences in her life, including a difficult divorce and the unexpected death of her father, Ms. Bortolami continued her studies in Reiki and spiritual development. in 2006 and 2007.  Lauren felt "driven" to open the Shoppe to help others.  Lauren's services are both unique and intuitive and when each client leaves her shoppe, the relationship is not over. Lauren bonds with each of her clients and they know that they can turn to her in a time of crisis whether a phone call with a question or  a  "can you get me in" appointment. 

When Ms. Bortolami opened the shoppe in 2007, she established a program to help Firefighters, Police, EMS, and Military who deal with stress, trauma, pain, and emotional issues on the job.   Read her story.   Ms. Bortolami recalls the day two firefighters got injured in the line of duty trying to save her family home in Andover. "One of them came to me to help fight the town over an illegal fence issue, says Lauren". Now Ms. Bortolami offers these services as a way of giving thanks to those who serve and protect our communities and the country.  Always interested in helping people and EMS, Ms. Bortolami plans to train to become an EMT in 2009 and hopes to volunteer to the Red Cross, The American Cancer Society and as a volunteer firefighter, alongside her companion, a Captain in a RI department.    Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis on Wednesdays, Week Nights, and Saturdays.  Call (508) 809-3118 or 774-240-6023.
